Alltrista Receives Silver Rating from EcoVadis

Greer, SC – Alltrista Plastics LLC (Alltrista), an operating company of Jadex Inc. (Jadex), is proud to announce that it has received a 2023 Silver Medal Sustainability Rating from EcoVadis.

To qualify for a medal, assessed companies must score well in four categories:  Environment, Ethics, Labor and Human Rights, and Procurement. Additionally, any negative news findings in one or more of these categories can severely impact a company’s chances of receiving a medal. Alltrista secured its Silver Medal with an assessment scorecard in the eighty-eighth percentile.

According to the EcoVadis website, the company is one of the world's most trusted business sustainability ratings services. Founded in 2007, EcoVadis has rated over 100,000 companies representing more than 200 industry categories in 175 countries. The company’s rating methodologies are focused on international sustainability standards, including the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact, and the ISO 26000.

Only about half of the companies rated by EcoVadis ever achieve medal status. The top 50% receive a Bronze medal, the top 25% achieve Silver, the top 5% receive Gold, and the top 1% are awarded Platinum. In addition to landing in the top 12% of all EcoVadis-rated companies, Alltrista is in the top 7% among industry peers.
